He has a legacy of successfully leading 2 of the 14 companies to get listed on the Malawi Stock Exchange; driving exceptional profitable growth in both Customer Market Share and Revenue Market Share and significantly increasing shareholder value in 2 of the leading telecom companies in Malawi; building diverse, multi-disciplinary teams across Commercial, Technology, IT, Finance, Legal/Regulatory and Operations.

Previously, he was a Managing Director at Airtel Malawi, from March 2016 – November 2024, Chief Commercial Officer for Airtel Malawi from 2014 – 2016.

He served as a Chief Commercial Officer at Telekom Networks Malawi plc (TNM) between 2011 – 2014, Head of Commercial at Telekom Networks Malawi plc, from 2008 – 2010

He possesses practical knowledge of consumer needs and applies strong business planning and analytical skills to develop strategies around products, brand, and channel to deliver superior business results.

Charles has an MBA from Eastern & Southern African Management, and Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Malawi.

Over 20 years of well-earned success in Telecom & FMCG in domains such as Finance and Accounts, Working Capital Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, Revenue Assurance & Fraud Management. He joined Airtel Tanzania Plc, in April 2023 as a Finance Director. Indradip has 17 years working with Bharti Airtel Limited in both India & Africa, he joined Airtel in July 2001 as a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst and grew within the function managing various departments in the Finance Vertical .He then became Chef Financial Officer for Airtel Bangladesh and later promoted to Finance Director for Airtel Malawi.

Indradip has Proven ability in improving operational performance, enhancing business growth & maximizing profits through the internal controls & productivity improvements.

Stella Kibacha

Human Resource Director

Stella joined Airtel Tanzania PLC in October 2006, starting out in Customer Experience as a Customer Care Representative and grew her career internal . She was first appointed into the HR department in November 2007 and grew within the function managing various Portfolios before successfully taking on the role of HR Director in 2017. This gives her an overall experience of 18 years within Telecom business.

She has also served as the Senior HR Manager at Airtel Africa Head Office in Nairobi, where she was responsible for implementing and rolling out successful HR Automations Projects and EXCO Talent Acquisitions across the then 17 Airtel Africa Operations .

With her overall experience on Telecom, Stella has a wealth of experience , expertise and achievements in change management, Diversity &inclusion Mobilization, HR operations and analytics, organization design and behavior, Industrial Relations, Total Rewards, global mobility management, Business Partnering, Business transformation, Outsourcing Management and employee championing with highly effective results oriented .

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from University of Dar-es Salaam (UDSM) as well as a holder of an MBA in Human Resource Management from Mzumbe University .

David Lema

With over 20 years experience in Corporate Legal profession encompassing company secretarial, 13years of which in telecom and fintech industries. David has extensive knowledge and experience inhouse legal and Corporate counsel also in mining and manufacturing industries.

David has played central role in key strategic business transformations achieving improved stakeholder relations and resulting to improved business performance.

David Lema posses a Bachelor in Law (LLB); Advocate, Notary public and Commissioner for Oaths as well an MBA International Business.

Beatrice Singano

Regulatory and Corporate Communication Director

Has over 16 years experience in Telecom , heading the Corporate Communications and Regulatory Affairs department, a communications expert conversant with the Telecommunications sector and country dynamics as a whole, having worked in different departments such as Human Resources, Administration, Sales, Corporate Communications and Regulatory and compliance comes with enormous experience. Beatrice took a stint and headed Library and Information Services at the British council before rejoining telecom sector in 2006.

Switched on and ready to take challenges, Beatrice was able to play a great role in Airtel take over from Zain in 2010,supported teams to achieve a successful handover and Management transition and was also Instrumental in Airtel restructuring during the 5th government regime in 2019 .

Beatrice Holds a Masters degree in Business Administrations(MBA)- from Eastern and Southern African Management Institute - ESAMI and a Bachelors' degree in Political Science & Public Administration with a major in International Relations- University of Dar es salaam (UDSM).

Daniel Akuffo

Daniel has over 25 years in Supply Chain Management Leadership and mostly within Telecom. Before joining Airtel Tanzania Plc, he held various roles including the Head of supply chain management in Vodacom DRC

Since he joined Airtel Tanzania Plc, Daniel has played a leading role in the sale of Towers to Towerco in 2022, establishment of 42 shops and distribution points from 18 since joining Airtel Tanzania, Lead the supply chain team to execute the Cable landing station in Dar es Salaam in partnership with Alcatel and Meta and also managed to build a strong supply chain team with a deep attitude of hands-on approach to execution of task ,agility and integrity

Daniel holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ghana in Project Management, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography and Resource Development, and he has a Supply Chain certification from MCIPS Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply UK

Adriana has over 20 years’ experience in both Financial & Telecom in Business management & Leadership including strategy formulation, implementation & development of transformation.

Currently, Adriana is a Director of Customer Experience, prior to joining Airtel Tanzania Plc, she worked with Barclays and Standard Chartered bank in various roles as Head of Branch Network, General Manager, Area Manager, Head of Customer Service, Head of Sales as well as Prestige Branch Manager. Since she joined Airtel Tanzania Plc, she has realized a huge success in Self-Care penetration through (Simplification of customer journeys) Transformation from CSAT to NPS, Establishment of Airtel money experience support sub-unit & mindset change from GSM to banking operations, Retail Shops profitability & Bad Debt elimination, Migration of new platforms & automation, Revamp & documenting of new processes, Talent management , Coaching, extensive training & development (staff upgraded to senior roles), Outsourcing of Retail Shops agents, Expansion of Retail shops from 8 to 42 (covering all new regions in Tanzania) and Crisis management

Has over 15 years of experience in leadership and commercial execution (Mobile financial services, Sales and Distribution, Enterprise), working with the two largest telecom and mobile financial services companies in Africa.

Andrew joined Airtel Tanzania PLC on 1 March 2023 as the Airel Money Director. He has been an Acting Managing Director Airtel Money Uganda, Head of Product Development and Business Operations at Airtel Money Uganda, Head Financial services at Airtel Uganda, CEO Pegasus technologies Uganda, and Senior Manager Mobile Money Sales at MTN Uganda

Andrew has an exceptional track record of setting up, and growing Mobile Money businesses, and delivering strategic transformation .

Currently completing a Master of Business administration - Paris Business School ESLSCA and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.

Santosh Kumar Singh is a telecom industry leader with over 25 years of experience in commercial strategy, sales leadership, and large-scale distribution management across emerging markets. He has a strong track record of driving market share growth, scaling distribution ecosystems, and building high-performance commercial organizations.

Prior to joining Airtel Tanzania, Santosh served as Director – Sales & Distribution at Ooredoo Myanmar, where he led strategic growth initiatives and strengthened the company’s market position through distribution expansion and channel transformation.

Earlier, he held multiple leadership roles at Vodafone India, including Head of Sales, Zonal Head, Head of Retail, and Postpaid Channel Head, managing large regional operations and driving sales and channel development initiatives. Prior to Vodafone he worked for Hutch India.

He has rich management experience. He has wealth of experience cutting across an array of industries namely telecommunications, Banking, Technology and FMCG.

Tarakeswara worked with Reliance Jio Infocom Ltd (India), where he was the Assistant Vice President handling all fiber business operations. Prior to joining the Reliance Jio Infocom, he worked with Bharti Airtel Limited – India as Zonal Business Manager where he was responsible to lead sales, distribution, and operations for Visakhapatnam region focusing on growing market share (CMS/RMS) by implementing various sales strategies; he worked with Tata Teleservices Ltd as Head – Enterprise Business (ROAP, with ICICI Bank Ltd as Solution Manager SGE, with Reliance Communications Ltd as Cluster Retail Lead and Vodafone Essar as Retail Sales Manager – Prepaid.

Franky Filman

Franky has over 16 years experience in Information Technology and Telecommunications and is result driven, dynamic, creative and inventive. He is a Business Technology Leader with extensive experience in Operations, Project Management and Governance. He started his career back in 2006, steadily growing in the different IT fields.

Prior to his appointment as IT Director, Franky was the Head – Business Enterprise Solution – where he piloted the Business solution as new business entry in Airtel. Head of Network VAS, PS Core and IN under Network Department where he drove IN modernization, introduction of 3G, and MPBN modernization which were strategic projects.

As IT Director, he led the modernization of IT department and improved response time based on customer transaction monitoring. This introduced best practice on service monitoring and support. The digital transformation, introduction of new technology in core IT networks and convergency.

Franky holds a degree in Computer Engineering and is a Certified Information Communication Technologist (CICT). He is also a Certified MCP and DCSE.

Prosper Mafole

Prosper is a telecommunication engineer with over 16 years of experience split between lecturing & research, design, policy & regulation, operation & Maintenance and management of telecommunication networks and services.

He has worked with telecom equipment vendors, telcos, universities & research institutions, regulators and consulting firms. Prior to joining Airtel, he worked for Huawei, TCRA, University of Dar es Salaam and several consulting firms.

Proper’s key achievements at Airtel include leading network transformation through quality deployment of projects across all network domains: RAN, TX, CORE, MPBN & IPRAN, team leadership towards increase in QoS compliance rate current at more than 95%, Successful transition from owned towers into towerCo based network operations and its smooth running, efficient management of network capex & opex leading to a profitable network with wider coverage, high capacity & good quality and; end to end seamless transition from one active MS partner to another.

Prosper has a PhD in Telecommunication Engineering, Masters of Science communication& Communication Networks & Networked Services and a Bachelors of science in Telecommunications Engineering.

Nestroy Malewo

Head of Internal Audit & Risk

Nestory is a Certified Public Accountant with strong knowledge and experience in accounting, auditing, risk and compliance through his 16 years of work experience in strong international organisations including Deloitte and Touché as an external auditor, Barclays Bank (Current Absa Bank) as a Compliance manager and Internal Audit Manager, then to his current role at Airtel Tanzania as the Head of Internal Assurance.

Nestory is also a financial consultant, and a seasonal trainer specialized in auditing, financial crime compliance, anti-bribery and corruptions, accounting controls, contemporary issues in accounting and enterprise risk management.

He is a holder of Bachelor of Commerce and Management (B-COM-Accounting) and Certified Public Accountant (ACPA-PP).

Adedoyin Adeola

Chief Network Engineering Operation and Design Officer

Adedoyin has over 22 years of experience in telecommunications engineering, operations, and management including TowerCo infrastructure management. He has a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that enhance customer experience and business performance in a challenging operational landscapes, rising through the ranks to lead significant innovative and transformational changes across multiples countries.

Prior to his appointment Chief Network Engineering Operation and Design Officer, Adedoyin was the Ag CTO– where he accomplished 2=3=4 (4G on all Network nodes) first in Sub-Sahara Africa, Network Transformation  and network modernization project of over 13k sites with compromising on customer experience in a very complex and challenging environment.

He has led the team to several independent awards such as Best in Test Country Network Data speeds in 2021 by Umlaut, Fastest Network in Nigeria – 2021,2022  and Fastest Network in West Africa -2022 (Ookla Q2).

Adedoyin holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering , MBA in Business Admin , Doctor of Business Admin (DBA in Business Admin) and Phd in Telecommunications. He has several certification such as PMP, CSM,PSM, certified Solution Architect with Amazon (AWS) , Master Black Belt Six Sigma and Certified SAFE-SPC. He is a senior member of prestigious Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in US.
